I must admit I was sceptical as for the size of the vehicle it was considerably cheaper than anything else we found. I use a similar service in the U.K.
The car was at the airport arrivals hall with the chap (I forget his name but a lovely man) and they were there to meet us right outside the departure terminal when we left - it could not have been easier
Car was clean in good working order and the brakes worked!!! Which we soon discovered you need when driving in Sri Lanka 😀
MY ONLY ADVISE - MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN INTERNATIONAL DRIVING LICENCE. Which we didn’t have and had not seen anywhere we needed one - we were out at ease by the chap-who directed us to an office where we obtained a temporary Sri Lankan licence whilst he waited patiently with the car and my travel party. It was no effort for him to hang around whilst we got one (took 25 minutes) again he was fabulous.

I found this company on Google maps, went round to check them out and found Roy to be very helpful. He showed me their cars and I reserved one to use a few days later. The car (a Suzuki R Wagon) was great. The rate was great. The service
was great. Two points of note (1) the contract was electronic and rather long at 10 pages so it might be worth asking them to send it beforehand so you can read and sign it at leisure. (2) they require a deposit which they normally do by blocking an amount on a credit card so be sure to have one with you because it is not possible to block an amount on a debit card. I forgot my credit card so paid the deposit in cash which was refunded when I returned the car.

Great experience with iWay! My friend recommended them after their great experience with them beforehand and we didn't regret listening to her. The car was in excellent condition and was waiting for us at the airport. Also, they drove us back to the airport the last day from Colombo. I noticed iWay was cheaper than many of the car rentals and their service was flawless! I highly recommend them

Self drive with iWay is a great option to drive around in Srilanka. I booked their Toyota Aqua for 12 days and condition of the car plus service offered was amazing. Roy offers great prices and good condition cars. The hybrid car that I drove actually helped me save a great deal of money during my trip. The roads of Srilanka are pretty good but in some places there are very narrow so do mind the ground clearance of the cars coz you may get some scratches.
The airport is in Negombo and is 35 kms away from Colombo city and Roy’s office, so once you book a car do confirm with Roy where will the delivery of the car be so that you have a clear communication.
The overall pricing, service provided by Roy was amazing. He explained the process very nicely and overall he is very understanding.
